Good morning everyone!
Today I'm doing a review of Just Pure Minerals, a mineral makeup shop on Etsy.
I was sent a lovely bundle of eyeshadows, blushes, mineral veils, and lipstick samples! The fact that I was sent these will in no way impact my review.
I'm going to do this review in two parts, simply because there's so many things I want to say and feel it would be best seen across two posts. First post is eyeshadow and blush.
First let's get to the eyeshadows. I was sent seven different shades ranging from a light nude color to a deep navy. The first color we'll look at is Magic, a beige tan color with flakes of golden shimmer. I love this color because it's subtle but looks amazing when in the right light. The light hits the shimmer and makes your lids glisten. Pop The Question is a pale pink, almost white color with silver sparkles mixed in. It's a beautiful highlight shade, but not something I can use as a base shade simply because only the shimmer shows up and is often muted by the crease shade. Cafe Late is a matte light brown color that I simply adore when used as a crease shade. It adds subtle depth that looks lovely in a natural makeup look. It isn't too brash and enhances what's already there. Fiery Redhead is a super fun shade! It's a coppery red with flakes of golden sparkle that is a great way to enhance an intense look. This isn't a shade that I would wear every day simply because of the pigmentation, but I love the color on special occasions. Tiny Bubbles is a light yellow color with some subtle shimmer. It pairs nicely with Cafe Late because of the similar subtleties to them. It works well as a base shade, but make sure you apply with a light hand, too much yellow can make you look sickly! Raisin is a deep plum shade with brown undertones. It really looks like a raisin! It is matte and is a nice, intense crease shade for a deep smokey eyed look. Finally, Twilight is a deep navy color with silvery undertones and flakes of silver shimmer. I am usually not a huge fan of blue eyeshadow as I can never seem to apply it right, but I couldn't resist this color! It's intense and wonderfully playful. The only flaw in this color is that patchiness that comes with application. It takes quite a few sweeps of the brush and some eyeshadow primer to make it really stick and pack the punch that it needs to! Below are pictures of the sample packaging and some swatches.

Next we have three blushes, Apricot, Tulip, and Girly Pink. I will say right out front that I rarely use blush. I have a natural blush and pink undertones and usually find that's enough for every day makeup. However, I still wanted to try these out and see if I could make them work!
Apricot is a deep, almost red color. It's too intense for every day wear, but when applied with a LIGHT hand can make a good enhancement to a contour. Tulip is a slightly lighter shade of the same color and works well for night time looks. Finally, Girly Pink is a lovely every day color. This is my favorite out of the bunch because of how subtle it is. It adds a slight flush to the cheeks when applied with a light hand.
Blush Ingredients: Mica, titanium dioxide, iron oxides. Some shades may contain one or more of the following: manganese violet, ultramarine violet, chromium green oxide, and/or ultramarine blue.
Well that's it for this review! You can find all these items on their website, and contact them via Instagram, Facebook, or Google +. Stay tuned for Part two of the Just Pure Minerals review coming late this week!
