So, as always, let's start with the packaging. This is a different packaging from the original Naked palette. It is covered in a hard plastic exterior with a shiny, tan finish. The letters are bolded above the flat palette and that's something I really like about the packaging. While it may seem silly, I think it adds a nice touch to the palette and makes it feel more luxe.
The inside of the palette contains 12 shades, just like the first Naked that range from nice, light neutral tones, to darker crease and impact shades. There's also a mirror on the inside, a feature I never use but something I think is important in palettes of this size.
The first six shades are Foxy, Half Baked, Bootycall, Chopper, Tease, and Snakebite. These colors are really nice as bases because they are just so light. Foxy barely shows up on my skin because of the tan undertones and lightness of the powder. It would make a good base for a very neutral office look, but when looking for a higher impact shadow this won't be the one to reach for. Half baked is a returning color from the original Naked. It is a nice golden color with a nice color payoff. It has more pigmentation than Foxy so it can be used as a darker base. Bootycall is another color I enjoy, but that doesn't have a ton of pigmentation. It's a pink color with silver undertones, good for cooler skin tones. Chopper is one of my favorites from this palette. It's similar to Halfbaked but with more shimmer and a higher impact color. It's great for layering. Tease is a color I really love as a light crease color. It might not have the dark punch that some like, but as an everyday look, Tease is great. Snakebite is another color I really like! If it wasn't for it's fallout it would be my favorite. The color is a golden with some olive undertones that make for a super dynamic color combination. It's so interesting to look at when on the eyes. I do have a problem however with the fact that it takes a ton product to get anything to actually stick to the eyelids. It has a crazy problem with being sightly crumbly in the pan. Again, if the formula was fixed this would be my favorite of the bunch.
The next six shades are darker, and more intended to be used as crease colors. Suspect is another nice golden color with pinky/red undertones that doesn't have the same shimmer as Halfbaked or chopper. It's nice as a layering color, but doesn't quite cut it on it's own. Pistol is another really interesting shade. It's a cool silver/gray tone that you rarely see used in eye looks. I really love the color payoff of this and really think it should make a comeback. Verve is another nice shimmer color that is similar to Pistol when applied, but lighter and more suited for a highlight color or inner corner color. YDK is a beautiful muted mauve color. In the pan it looks like another basic golden color, but when applied it is simply stunning and blendable. Busted is a nice color to use as a lighter eyeliner or very dark crease color. It's simple, and very usable. Blackout is just what its name implies. It's a matte black color and that's about it. There's nothing special about it, but it's nice to use as eyeliner or a dramatic smokey eye.

In the end, Naked 2 is better suited for cooler skin tones with blue undertones. It is a great palette for creating every day office looks but can lack the punch you want for nighttime looks.
The palette retails for $54 and can be found on the Urban Decay website, Sephora, and Ulta.
Thanks for reading and stay tuned for the Naked 3 review later this week.
