Just wanted to post a few updates. I recently got my allergy test back for some food allergies and have found out I'm allergic to Cow's Milk, Egg, Whey, Chocolate, Peanuts, Garlic, and Bananas. So, while it's good news for my health, it's bad news for my diet! As a vegetarian, dairy has always been a huge part of my diet in order to supplement my protein. So I'm trying new recipes and making lemonade out of lemons!
Also, I'm excited to mention this as it gives me more insight to the world of cosmetics and ingredients that go into them. Cow's milk and Eggs can be hiding all over the place, in foods, cosmetics, shampoos, etc. So I've done a little research to find out what other names Cow's Milk and Eggs may be hiding under in the ingredients list.
Milk can go as: Beta-lactoglobulin, Casein, Rennet casein-caseinate, Ammonium caseinate, Magnesium caseinate, Sodium caseinate, Calcium caseinate, Potassium caseinate, Delactosed whey, Demineralized whey, Whey, Whey protein concentrate, Dry Milk, Milk solids, Hydrolyzed casein, Lactose, Milk fat, Milk protein, Dry milk, Milk solids, Hydrolyzed casein, Lactoferrin, Lactalbumin phosphate, Lactoglobulin, and modified milk ingredients.
Egg can go as: Livetin, Silico-albuminate, Lysozyme, Albumin, and anything containing 'Ovo'.
