Jane Iredale Review

Happy Tuesday everyone! 

Today, I'm going to be reviewing two new products from Jane Iredale, their PureGloss and Puremoist lip products.

So, Let's get started shall we?

First off, the packaging is gorgeous. They came to my door wrapped in purple tissue paper and had a single sprig of lavender tied in. I loved this personal touch, something I think is missing from most large companies today. The two boxes were slender and simple, with the name of the company and product on a white background and a large lowercase 'i' in the background. I am a lover of simplicity, so I loved the design of the packaging.

The PureMoist Lip Gloss was a product I was hesitant about, I am not a huge lip gloss person and hate the stickiness that comes along with glosses. However, I liked how this product was sticky, but also thick. It seemed to dry on my lips better then any other lip glosses I had used in the past, perhaps this is the difference between drugstore and high end lip glosses!

The actual gloss tube is slender and sleek. It has a simple matte gold top, reflective silver middle, and clear tube that allows you to see the color clearly inside the product. While I normally dislike the mixture of gold and silver, I think mixing the matte and reflective surfaces gave this product a true luxe feel. 

When opening up the color, the wand comes off clean, with no sticky residue or lost product on the actual wand. I was amazed at how clean it was. All the color was on the doe foot, and none was wasted! Don'e believe me? Check the picture below to see how clean it was. 

Again, maybe I'm crazy for loving and obsessing over this tiny detail of the product, but I can't help but love it after having many a gross lip gloss wand. 

Candy Pink PureGloss Lipgloss

The color is 'Candy Pink' and is described as a 'Shimmering bubblegum pink' and that is truly what this color it. It is slightly sheer, and doesn't overwhelm your lips with color. I truly loved how it made such a bright and girly color look feminine and classy when applied. Also, THE TASTE. Oh my god the taste. When you apply it to your lips you immediately get this sugary taste, like candy! It's delicious and makes wearing this product so much more enjoyable. If it wasn't frowned upon to eat your makeup, I would totally eat this one.

Now, I was SUPER excited about the lipstick. As many of you know, I am a lipstick junkie and have tons of it. So, another lipstick to add to my collection is always a treat.

 The design of the tube is sleek and sophisticated. A far cry from the bulkiness of Kat Von D's Studded Kiss lipstick. It looked like something my grandmother would carry, and I liked that.

I received the color Madison, described as a sheer, pink rose. This color doesn't add too much color on the lips, but does add a hint of sheen. Even my mother, who is terrified of wearing lipstick, said she would wear this color because it looks so natural on the lips. It holds up fairly well, but there is the need to reapply after eating and every few hours as to be expected with creamy lipsticks such as this. Overall, I like this color as a lipstick to wear when I don' feel like making a statement. It has good coverage and is smooth to apply, but the color is not something I would wear on a night out.
